A holiday menu should fit the way you want people to celebrate. Maybe that means gathering around a paella pan, serving lechón with familiar Cuban sides, or letting coworkers build their own tacos between conversations.

For holiday party catering in Miami and Broward, start with your guest count and venue. Don Paella’s live paellas start at 20 guests per selection; taco and pasta stations start at 30 per station; lechón starts at 50; and grilling requires at least 50 total protein servings. Those minimums matter when you combine menus.

Which menu fits your holiday party?

Live paella: Choose this when you want cooking to be part of the experience. A chef prepares the paella at your event, with standard buffet service, house salad and bread included. It suits a gathering with a planned dinner time and an approved cooking area.

Lechón asado: Choose this for a Cuban holiday meal centered on roast pork, arroz moro and a traditional side. Confirm the preparation, delivery or on-site arrangements and any serving staff in your quote; the menu choice alone does not define the service.

Taco or pasta stations: Choose these when guests will enjoy customizing their meals. Tacos offer a choice of fillings and toppings. At the pasta station, individual portions are prepared along the buffet.

Grilling station: Choose this for a cookout-style celebration with grilled proteins and shared sides. This package includes cooking and serving staff, the grill, a service table and cooking and serving equipment.

Live paella: make dinner part of the party

A large paella pan gives guests something to gather around before dinner. It works particularly well for a backyard holiday party or a company celebration where the venue allows on-site cooking.

The paella menu includes Seafood Paella Valenciana, chicken, vegetable and other selections. For 30 guests, the listed base price is $600 for Seafood Paella Valenciana or $470 for Chicken Paella.

Each live paella selection needs at least 20 servings. For a 40-person gathering, you could request 20 servings of seafood paella and 20 of chicken paella. Their listed base totals are $420 and $370, or $790 combined, before applicable extras. Dividing a 30-person group into two 15-serving live paellas would not meet those minimums.

Tell us about dietary needs before choosing. Seafood Paella Valenciana also contains chicken and smoked sausage. A dish name is not a complete ingredient list, and a vegetable option should not be assumed to meet every allergy or dietary requirement.

Lechón: a Cuban holiday meal for a larger group

For a family celebration or office party built around Cuban food, lechón asado is listed at $1,500 for 50 guests, with a 50-guest minimum.

The package includes arroz moro plus your choice of yuca con mojo, maduros or tostones. Pick the side your group will enjoy, then discuss appetizers, desserts and service separately.

If you want someone to manage the buffet or clear guest tables, include that in your request. Also confirm whether you need chafing dishes, rentals or other equipment. A food package and a complete event-service quote can cover different things.

Food stations: give guests choices

Stations are useful when you want dinner to feel social and flexible. Plan enough room for guests to approach, choose their food and return to their tables without blocking another line.

The taco station is $32 per person with a 30-person minimum, or $960 at the minimum. Choose three proteins for the station. Flour and corn tortillas, chips and salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, queso fresco and sauces are included. The minimum applies to the station, not separately to each protein.

The pasta station is also $32 per person with a 30-person minimum, or $960 at the minimum. It includes two pasta types, four sauces, eight toppings, Caesar salad and garlic bread.

The grilling station requires 50 total protein servings. You may mix proteins, while choosing the same two sides for the group, with at least 50 servings of each side. For example, 30 chicken servings at $20 and 20 churrasco servings at $30 total $1,200, paired with included sides such as arroz moro and maduros.

Taco, pasta and grilling station packages include one hour of service. Guest plates, eating utensils and napkins are separate. Discuss a longer serving window before booking if your party schedule needs it.

Can you combine paella with another station?

Yes, provided each selection meets its own minimum and the venue can accommodate the setup. Start by deciding whether guests will choose one main dish or sample several.

For a 50-person party, a proposed combination could be 20 seafood paella servings and a 30-person taco station. The listed base total is $1,380: $420 for the paella and $960 for tacos.

That is a split-menu example, not a promise that all 50 guests can have a full serving from both menus. If you expect everyone to sample everything, tell us so we can recommend quantities and confirm the complete quote.

What should your holiday catering budget include?

The examples above use published menu prices checked on October 23, 2026. They are planning examples, not final event quotes.

Paella base rates are for Miami-Dade. For Broward events, provide the full address so travel can be calculated. Depending on the menu and venue, your final quote may also include applicable taxes, holiday surcharges, access or setup charges, additional service time, extra staff, appetizers and rentals.

Compare what each package includes before comparing totals. Standard paella includes a chef, buffet service, salad and bread; station packages have their own inclusions. Ask for the full event total rather than relying on one per-person number.

Check the venue before finalizing the menu

For an office, condo, clubhouse or rented venue, confirm cooking permission, loading access, parking and the approved setup area. Tell us about elevators, stairs and restricted arrival times.

For taco, pasta and grilling stations, plan for approximately two hours of setup before serving, and confirm the schedule with us. Share both the party’s start time and the time you want guests to eat.

Outdoor celebrations need an approved weather backup. Discuss suitable covered space, electrical access and lighting for evening service. Confirm the layout before assuming a balcony, indoor room or tent can accommodate cooking equipment.

Common holiday catering questions

What works for a party of 20 to 29 guests?

A single live paella meets the 20-serving minimum. Taco and pasta stations start at 30, while lechón and grilling start at 50. If your venue cannot host live cooking, compare on-site cooking with drop-off catering.

Does a station include waiters for the whole party?

Station staff handle the service specified in that package. Extra waiters, bartenders and broader event support should be requested separately. Mention clearing tables, drink service and any other help you want.

When should I request my holiday catering quote?

Once you have a date, location and estimated guest count, send the request. Availability must be confirmed for your date. Include your serving time, menu preferences and venue restrictions so the quote can address the actual event.
